Softball Recap: Hollins Comes Up Short

Hollins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-2 to the Osceola Warriors. The matchup marked the Royals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Gianna Close made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Ava Vargas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Hollins' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Osceola, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Hollins will challenge Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinellas Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Osceola, they will square off against Dunedin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Dunedin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
