Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Trace Raiders vs. Paulding Panthers

The Wayne Trace Raiders will face off against the Paulding Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wayne Trace is headed into Thursday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They fell 52-44 to Woodlan on Monday.

While Paulding didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. It was close, but on Mondaythey capped 2024 with a 31-28 victory over Jefferson. The 31-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Paulding and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Wayne Trace, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Wayne Trace didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Paulding in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory.
