Softball Recap: St. John Paul II Takes a Loss

St. John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-2 to the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 4, 2024, but that streak is no more.

St. John Paul II saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyley Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

St. John Paul II's record now sits at 2-6. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John Paul II will challenge West Limestone at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Limestone will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something St. John Paul II surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will welcome Randolph School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randolph School has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something Westminster Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
