Soccer Game Preview: Sunset vs. White

Sunset and White are an even 3-3-1 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Sunset Bison will square off against the White Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunset's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Sunset is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They and South Oak Cliff finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Monday. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Bison's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, White made sure to put some goals up on the board against Molina on Monday. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 6-0 victory. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Jaguars are ranked 519th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sunset's draw makes their record 1-3-1 this season. As for White, their win bumped their record up to 8-0-1.

Sunset came up short against White in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Sunset avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
