Football Game Preview: Mosley Dolphins vs. Mainland Buccaneers + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Jp Holsombake and Sebastian Johnson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Mosley Dolphins will venture away from home to challenge the Mainland Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mosley will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Mosley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lincoln 33-30.

Ga'Marcus Halstead had a dynamite game, picking up 90 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 90 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Carson Griffin also helped out with an impressive 115 receiving yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mosley's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Cole Archambeau was the leader with three. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Mosley got some further help from Demetrece Gillis: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

Meanwhile, Mainland was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against Middleburg as they made off with a 34-13 win. Considering the Buccaneers have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mainland's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Chris Butler and Christian Cooper. Butler picked up 104 receiving yards and one score while Cooper picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown. Cooper showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 54 yards.

Mainland's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Mosley, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
