Volleyball Recap: Sangre de Cristo Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sangre de Cristo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoehne Farmers. If the Thunderbirds were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Farmers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hoehne found their leader in freshman Kaylee Schlensker, who had ten digs, two aces, and one block.

Sangre de Cristo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hoehne, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Sangre de Cristo will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Las Animas at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hoehne, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against La Veta on the 26th.
