Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 7-4 to the Catholic Central Irish.

Riverside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Purtee, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Gavin Orsborne was another, getting three hits from his three at bats.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Catholic Central, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14.

As of now, neither Riverside nor the Irish have any future games scheduled.
