Football Recap: Lee County Yellow Jackets vs. Northern Durham Knights
Lee County had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Northern Durham Knights 56-12 on the road on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Yellow Jackets as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Jayden Hill had an outrageously good game as he picked up 144 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jack Martin, who threw for 118 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Although Northern Durham took the loss, they still got scores from Damien Bostic and Elijah Smith.
Lee County will welcome St. Pauls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northern Durham, they will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Person at 7:00 p.m. on September 6th.
