Softball Game Preview: North Crawford Trojans vs. Weston Silver Eagles

The North Crawford Trojans will face off against the Weston Silver Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for North Crawford and five for Weston.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times North Crawford and La Farge had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Trojans lost 15-2 to the Wildcats on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered against the Wildcats since April 28, 2022.

North Crawford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakota Heister, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Anna Logue also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Weston came up short against Kickapoo on Thursday, falling 14-4.

North Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Weston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went North Crawford's way against Weston in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as North Crawford made off with a 17-3 win. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Silver Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
