Recap: Jordan Falcons vs. Hillside Hornets

After flying high against the Northern Durham Knights last Tuesday, the Jordan Falcons came back down to earth. Jordan was dealt a 62-24 loss at the hands of Hillside on Wednesday. Jordan has not had much luck with Hillside recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Olivia Yancey was Jordan's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Caroline Masella held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Skyler Hughes took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Samiyah Barker was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points for Hillside. That makes it four consecutive games in which Barker has scored at least a third of Hillside's points. Madison Malone was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Hillside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Jordan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillside, they will head out on the road to square off against Chapel Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillside is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
