Softball Recap: McKinney Comes Up Short

McKinney lost against Prosper back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McKinney Lions fell just short of the Prosper Eagles by a score of 6-5. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kady Huggins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

McKinney's record is now 2-16-1. As for Prosper, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, McKinney will welcome McKinney Boyd at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. McKinney Boyd is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Prosper's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Allen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
