Soccer Game Preview: Pinnacle vs. Desert Edge

The Pinnacle Pioneers will square off against the Desert Edge Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pinnacle comes in on three and Desert Edge on 12.

Pinnacle's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They had just enough and edged Liberty out 1-0. That's two games straight that the Pioneers have won by just one goal.

Youngker typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Desert Edge proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a goal and slipped past the Roughriders 1-0. The Scorpions' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Tatum Iler, who's now up to 15 this season.

Desert Edge's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those seven games. As for Pinnacle, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1.
