Basketball Recap: Runge Comes Up Short

Runge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Waelder Wildcats, falling 80-12. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-40 back in December of 2024.

Runge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Waelder, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-18 record this season.

Runge will head out on the road to take on Moulton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waelder, they will be playing at home against Nordheim at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
