Basketball Recap: Nevada Comes Up Short

Nevada has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by the Webb City Cardinals and fell 68-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since December 7, 2023.

Holton Keith was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 17 on his way to 26 points and five steals for Webb City. The matchup was Keith's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Pace, who posted 15 points and four steals.

Nevada's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Webb City, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Nevada Tigers take on the Clinton Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Webb City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-48 loss against Putnam City on the 25th.
