Soccer Recap: Waynesboro Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charlottesville, Waynesboro was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Riverheads Gladiators get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Waynesboro haven't had any issues with Riverheads recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Waynesboro's offense was hitting Riverheads from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. A'Luscio Casas led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Waynesboro's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Riverheads, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Waynesboro and Riverheads will both be playing Staunton the next time they take the pitch. The Little Giants will host the Storm at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Gladiators will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
