Basketball Recap: Spanish Fork Takes a Loss

Spanish Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Springville Red Devils, falling 62-31. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-41 back in January.

Sami DeLlamas was a one-woman wrecking crew for Springville as she went 8-for-10 en route to 18 points along with eight boards and three steals. That's the most points DeLlamas has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Millie Thompson, who had nine points and five assists.

Spanish Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Springville, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Spanish Fork wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-44 loss against Timpview on the 11th. As for Springville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-45 win against Cedar Valley on the 11th.
