Baseball Recap: La Serna Takes a Loss

If La Serna was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Santa Fe last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers came up short against the California Condors on Wednesday, falling 9-3. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Condors earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Kai Yamato made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

La Serna now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for California, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

While La Serna had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
