Soccer Game Preview: Niles West vs. Lincoln Park

The Niles West Wolves will head out to challenge the Lincoln Park Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Niles West's offense. They fell just short of Maine West by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Park kept a clean sheet against Rickover Naval on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Seadragons 1-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Lincoln Park's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Rickover Naval are ranked 320th).

Lincoln Park's one-goal win came courtesy of Noah Bachmann, who's now up to two this season.

Lincoln Park's win bumped their record up to 6-4-2. As for Niles West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-1 record this season.
