Baseball Game Preview: Archbishop Carroll Lions vs. Bishop McNamara Mustangs

The Archbishop Carroll Lions will face off against the Bishop McNamara Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop Carroll is looking for their season's first victory.

Archbishop Carroll fell victim to Bishop Ireton and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 25-0.

Meanwhile, while Bishop McNamara put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for The Heights. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out The Heights 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since March 20th.

Tyrone Leach looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Bishop McNamara and bumps their season record up to 5-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Archbishop Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Archbishop Carroll might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Bishop McNamara in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
