Volleyball Recap: Lexington Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lexington Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Boyle County Rebels as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Eagles were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Rebels, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

Lexington Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Boyle County between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Jillian Weaver paced Lexington Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Weaver got some help from Rachel Rice and her ten assists. Weaver also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Player #10, each putting up two.

Lexington Christian's victory bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Boyle County, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lexington Christian will host Garrard County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boyle County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Danville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m.
