Baseball Recap: Central Hardin Takes a Loss

Central Hardin lost against Elizabethtown back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bruins fell 12-7 to the Panthers.

Central Hardin got a good showing from Jordan Bailey, who pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Bailey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Reece Cowley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kellen Brandenburg, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Central Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 14-20. As for Elizabethtown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Central Hardin nor Elizabethtown have any future games scheduled.
