Basketball Recap: Gunn Has No Trouble Against KIPP San Jose Collegiate

On Saturday, the Gunn Titans didn't have too much trouble with the KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack as they won 49-31.

Defeat or not, KIPP San Jose Collegiate got some senior leadership from Jonathan Mendoza and Christian Ademe-Johnson. Mendoza went 6 of 10 en route to 17 points and three steals, while Ademe-Johnson posted eight points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Mendoza has posted since back in January of 2024.

The victory got Gunn back to even at 5-5. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Gunn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-35 loss against Milpitas on the 10th. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-15 win against Cindy Avitia on the 7th.
