            Normal University never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pontiac on Friday. They walked away with  a   10-6  win over the Indians. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.

Normal University pushed their record up to 20-5 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pontiac, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Normal University will face off against East Peoria at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Pioneers 3.8, the Raiders 2.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Pontiac, they will square off against Prairie Central at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
