Basketball Recap: Greensboro Comes Up Short

Greensboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The match between them and the Greene County Tigers didn't end well, with the Greensboro Raiders falling 60-45. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 56-53.

Greene County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ja'Ron Lavender led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Lavender is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Darryl White Jr, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists.

Greensboro's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Greene County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.

Greensboro has already played their next contest (against Sumter Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greene County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
