Basketball Recap: Ian Jansen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cambridge Christian over Out-Of-Door Academy

Cambridge Christian was the 38-34 winner over Out-of-Door Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell 54-45 to the Thunder on Tuesday. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Jansen, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards. Jansen has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Martinez, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Out-of-Door Academy found their leader in freshman Dawson Erdei, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards. Logan Kwon was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Cambridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Out-of-Door Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Cambridge Christian will host Shorecrest Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 59-40 win against Sarasota Military Academy on the 3rd.
