Basketball Recap: Clarendon Hall Saints vs. Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors

There's no place like home for the Clarendon Hall Saints, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against Andrew Jackson Academy by a score of 41-31 on Friday. This was a revenge contest for Clarendon Hall, as the team was forced to settle for a 42-38 loss when these two played last Thursday.

Despite the defeat, Andrew Jackson Academy saw an underclassman step up: McKinley Beard scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Beard has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Clarendon Hall now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

Clarendon Hall will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Dorchester Academy is ranked 181st, while the Saints are ranked 162nd). As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Golden Warrriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully John Paul II focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
