Basketball Recap: Laurel Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After losing to Glen Burnie the last time they met, Laurel decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Laurel Spartans managed a 44-40 victory over the Glen Burnie Gophers on Friday.

Laurel's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5. As for Glen Burnie, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laurel will venture away from home to face off against Wise at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Glen Burnie, they will head out on the road to take on Annapolis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Annapolis will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Glen Burnie surely won't give up without a fight.
