Soccer Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Eldorado lost against Sierra Vista back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Firehawks came up short against the Mountain Lions, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Eldorado were already down 3-0.

Eldorado has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-2 record this season. As for Sierra Vista, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eldorado will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Desert Oasis at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th. Eldorado will be up against Desert Oasis' rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.92 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sierra Vista, they will head out on the road to challenge Faith Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on the 26th.
