Volleyball Recap: Midtown Wins Going Away Against North Oconee

It's playoff time, and Midtown had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the North Oconee Titans on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

One reason for the win was Midtown's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Abby Taylor, who had 16 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last seven matchups.

Sutton Szoke and Addie Stewart certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Szoke had eight digs and three assists, while Stewart had 13 kills and four digs.

Midtown's victory bumped their record up to 35-10. As for North Oconee, they moved to 36-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, Midtown will face off against Marist at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Oconee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
