Baseball Recap: Augustine Prep Drops Highest Score of Season Against Milwaukee Hamilton

Augustine Prep had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-6-1 to make it four. They came up short against the Milwaukee Hamilton Wildcats, falling 13-5. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked the Lions' highest-scoring game to date.

As for Milwaukee Hamilton, they moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

For Milwaukee Hamilton's part, Brayan Dipre made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Dipre has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Mason Leber was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Donovan Grochowski was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles.
