Basketball Recap: Southfield Christian Takes a Loss

Southfield Christian has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Plymouth Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-58 back in January.

Southfield Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Southfield Christian will head out on the road to square off against Inter-City Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Inter-City Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Southfield Christian likes a good challenge. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Lutheran Northwest at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
