Basketball Recap: Barbourville Comes Up Short

Barbourville lost against Berea back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Barbourville Tigers took an 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Berea Pirates.

Barbourville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Berea, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Barbourville will square off against Corbin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Corbin will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Barbourville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Berea, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-46 win against Portland Christian on the 31st.
