Softball Recap: Edinburgh Takes a Loss

Edinburgh and Knightstown squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Edinburgh had to settle for second. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2015.

Edinburgh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenna Streeval, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Edinburgh's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Knightstown, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Edinburgh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Knightstown, they will face off against Tri at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
