Football Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Woburn Memorial Tanners 50-0. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Tanners are ranked 70th).

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Woburn Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Belmont will take on rival Reading Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Woburn Memorial is set to challenge their familiar foe Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
