Volleyball Recap: Coldwater Cavaliers vs. Independence Blue Devils
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coldwater had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Independence Blue Devils by a score of 3-1. The victory was just business as usual for the Cavaliers, who after 28 games remain undefeated this season.
In the three sets Coldwater was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 22-25, 25-10, 25-13.
Morgan Blasingame paced Coldwater's offense, picking up 25 kills. Blasingame got some help from
Mia Knapke and her 47 assists.
Brylee Knapke controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Coldwater pushed their record up to 28-0 with the win, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Independence, their defeat ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 25-4.
