Baseball Recap: Bakersfield Drillers vs. Bakersfield Christian Eagles
Bakersfield had lost five straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-17-1 to make it six. They came up short against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles, falling 11-4. The Drillers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Bakersfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Caid, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

That's the most runs Anderson has posted since back in March. Maddox Garza was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
While Bakersfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
