Basketball Recap: Mountain Ridge Takes a Loss

Mountain Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-7 loss at the hands of the Prescott Badgers. The contest marked the Mountain Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Prescott's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addie Prisciandaro, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points and three steals. Prisciandaro's morning made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Abt, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 11 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Mountain Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Prescott, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Mountain Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 40-36 win against Thunderbird on the 2nd. As for Prescott, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-32 victory against Mountain View on the 2nd.
