Softball Recap: Times Squared Academy Comes Up Short

Times Squared Academy couldn't beat Shea on Wednesday even though they stacked 11 runs on them in the first inning. The Eagles lost 23-13 to the Raiders. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost nine in a row.

Jenna Jennings made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Ashley Baez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Times Squared Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Shea, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Times Squared Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-3 win against Mt. Pleasant on the 16th. As for Shea, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 victory against Central Falls on the 19th.
