Basketball Recap: Camelback Comes Up Short

Camelback was the 101-79 winner over South Mountain when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans were dealt a 71-40 loss at the hands of the Jaguars on Friday. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 11 in a row.

Camelback's record now sits at 1-13. As for South Mountain, they moved to 11-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camelback will host Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Champions have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for South Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Maryvale at 7:00 p.m. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
