Baseball Game Preview: Wink Wildcats vs. McCamey Badgers

For the second straight game, Wink will face off against McCamey. Wink will head out to challenge McCamey at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wink has four straight victories, McCamey has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, Wink got the win against McCamey by a conclusive 23-8. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

GUNNER VOYLES made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on CAYTON NOYOLA, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jaime Ruiz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Wink pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for McCamey, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
