Volleyball Game Preview: Pine Grove Cardinals vs. Delone Catholic Squires

The Pine Grove Cardinals will face off against the Delone Catholic Squires at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pine Grove is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Masterman. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

While Pine Grove won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Delone Catholic posted their closest win since September 13th on Tuesday. They skirted past Richland 3-2.

Delone Catholic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-13.

Delone Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Pine Grove, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
