Pisgah took care of business in their home opener on Friday (barely). They skirted past the North Forrest Eagles 34-32. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 36-0 defeat the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Pisgah found their leader in underclassman Ethan Prater, who rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown. Prater got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of58 yards. Another player making a difference was Caleb Grant, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pisgah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 234 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pisgah will welcome Richton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Forrest, they will take on Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
