Basketball Game Preview: Coosa Christian Conquerors vs. Victory Christian Lions

Coosa Christian and Victory Christian are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. The Coosa Christian Conquerors will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Victory Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. Coosa Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Coosa Christian lost 50-26 to Appalachian on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian strolled past Alabama School for the Deaf with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Coosa Christian better keep an eye on Amelia Haney. She was instrumental in Victory Christian's win, putting up 11 points and six steals. Haney has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 29 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Arnold, who posted eight points and six boards.

Victory Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for Coosa Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Coosa Christian was dealt a bruising 68-27 loss at the hands of Victory Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Thankfully for Coosa Christian, Haley Hendrix (who almost dropped a double-double on 42 points and nine steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
