Basketball Recap: South Burlington Comes Up Short

South Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 61-40 to the Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-40 last Monday.

South Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bellows Free Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Burlington has already played their next matchup (against Essex), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bellows Free Academy will face off against Mt. Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Mt. Mansfield has won five straight at home, while Bellows Free Academy won four straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
