Carver Vo-Tech waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over the National Academy Foundation Eagles. While the Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Samuel Rojas made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shakira Gardner, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He also put up a hit, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Javon Blannon, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Carver Vo-Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Carver Vo-Tech's victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
