Lincolnton came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lincolnton took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-15.

Keeli Frye paced Lincolnton's offense, picking up nine kills. Frye got some help from Kathryn Parker and her ten assists. Parker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Lincolnton's record is now 2-0. As for Bessemer City, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincolnton will venture away from home to take on Cherryville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bessemer City, they will head out to square off against North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
