Baseball Recap: Freeburg Takes a Loss

Freeburg lost a heartbreaker to O'Fallon when they met back in April of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Midgets lost 11-1 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Midgets in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Freeburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Freeburg's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for O'Fallon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeburg will challenge East Alton-Wood River at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for O'Fallon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belleville East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.7, the Lancers 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
