Softball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood was the 18-7 winner over Hobbton when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Leopards came up short against the Wildcats on Thursday, falling 14-4. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kiyah Braxton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Fancy Bullard, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Hobbton, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-12 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood will face off against Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hobbton, they will take on Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
