Basketball Recap: North Davidson Takes a Loss

North Davidson lost against Ledford back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The North Davidson Black Knights were outmatched by the Ledford Panthers and fell 54-27. The Black Knights' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Leading Ledford to victory were Kiya Autry and Izzy Smith. Autry went 8-for-12 to rack up 18 points, while Smith posted 11 points. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella Montesa, who scored eight points.

North Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Ledford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.

North Davidson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-31 defeat against Asheboro on the 13th. As for Ledford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-43 loss against Randleman on the 12th.
