Football Game Preview: Itasca Wampus Cats vs. Valley Mills Eagles

Itasca is 0-5 against Valley Mills since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Wampus Cats will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Itasca has given up an average of 42.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Itasca's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Dawson on Friday. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Valley Mills was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 28-27 to Bosqueville.

Itasca will have to contain Jasean Johnson as he made an impact in Valley Mills' last game. He rushed for 237 yards and four scores while picking up 10.3 yards per carry.

Itasca's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Valley Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Itasca was dealt a bruising 62-33 loss at the hands of Valley Mills when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Johnson, who rushed for 335 yards and six TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.
